Communal Truth

A Christian Philsophy for the Third Millennium

Overview:

Part I - Epistemology

How do humans attain knowledge and understand what is true? We do not do so as individuals, but together as communities.

Part II - Aesthetics

Why do humans create beatiful works of art and tell stories? One reason is in order to communicate knowledge and truth to others.

Part III - Ontology

What, then, is ultimately true and real? The Christian story of God's love for his creation affirms that we live in a world that is good, in spite of the presence of evil. But God has defeated evil through love.

Part IV - Ethics

Based on this, how ought we to behave? We should act in love for the benefit of all those with whom we share this world.
